Darfur"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sudanhumanrights.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/ElSalmCampMassArrestEn.pdf\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-464 alignleft\" title=\"Abuses against the displaced in Darfur \" src=\"http:\/\/sudanhumanrights.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/ElSalmCampMassArrestEn.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"119\" height=\"150\" \/><strong>Urgent Action: Stop the abuses against the displaced in Darfur, August 14, 2014 &#8211; PDF<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nThe Sudanese Human Rights Network (SHRN) had received perturbing news about a campaign of mass arrests amongst resident of El Salam camp for the displaced in Nyala, South Darfur; the arrests are schemed and executed by a joint security force. This cruel campaign, has detained about 70 people from El Salam camp, many of them were released a few days later while the others were taken to an unknown destination.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>SHRN expresses concern about the conditions of detainees in detention centers, particularly increasingly troubled at the reports that the campaign\u2019s agenda surpasses just imprisonment; it terrifies the camp residents, destroys, and implements expropriation of the possessions and savings belonging to the displaced.<br \/>\nSHRN has obtained a list of 26 detainees. The list is not complete, and as the formulation of this statement, we are still working to secure a list of all the names of detainees.
