Urgent Action: Letter to Sudanese Ambassador in Saudi Arabia, September 12, 2015 – PDF

Please find attached an urgent request regarding Mr. Waleed Aldod Almaki Alhussain, a Sudanese citizen who has been arrested from his residence in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia. According to his family, seven officers from the GDI, raided Waleed Al Hussein’s home on Thursday, July 23, 2015 around 3:30 pm, searched the house and confiscated a laptop, tablet, and mobile phones, as well as Waleed’s passport.
Sudan Human Rights Network is deeply concerned about the wellbeing of Waleed Alhussain, and urge Sudan Embassy in Riyadh to:
• Call on Saudi authorities to immediately and unconditionally release Waleed Alhussain, since no valid legal charges have been made
• Express their concern at the arrest and continuing of detention of Waleed Alhussain
• Requesting assurances that he is being humanly treated, that he has immediate and regular access to his family, lawyers, and any necessary
medical attention.
