الشبكة السودانية لحقوق الإنسان تدعو مجلس الأمن إلى تحمل مسؤوليته طبقا لميثاق الأمم المتحدة واتخاذ جميع التدابير اللازمة فورا لتوفير الحماية للمدنيين من الابادة الجماعية والتطهير العرقي عبر اللجوء إلى الفصل السابع من ميثاق الأمم المتحدة، وذلك في ولايات غرب دارفور، وشمال دارفور، وجنوب دارفور، ووسط دارفور. ما يحدث في تلك الولايات الدارفورية الأربع وتفاقم الأوضاع فيها بامتداد رقعة الصراع المسلح واتخاذه منحىً عرقياً مع انتشار واسع للأسلحة الخفيفة والمتوسطة والثقيلة، هو تهديد للسلم الإقليمي والدولي ويشكل عدوان صارخ على الإنسانية. في حين حققت هُدنة يوم العاشر من يونيو نجاحاً في ولاية الخرطوم، إلاّ أن عدم الالتزام بكل الهدنات المعلنة في دارفور إنما يدل على أن القوات هناك خارجة عن سيطرة قياداتها المركزية تماماً.

The Sudan Human Rights Network (SHRN) calls on the Security Council to assume its responsibility under the Charter of the United Nations and to take all necessary measures immediately to protect civilians from genocide and ethnic cleansing by resorting to Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations in the states of Western Darfur, Northern Darfur, Southern Darfur and Central Darfur.
